When S&S reached out to Nectar & Vessel, their first request immediately intrigued us: "We don't want any floral on our tables—we just want the greenhouse ceiling to be transformed." At Nectar & Vessel, we absolutely love when we can focus floral design on a single impactful element, particularly when working within a defined floral budget.

The next request sealed the deal: "Make it weird & wild." Instantly, we were all in.

Fortunately, S&S had chosen an August date for their greenhouse wedding in Massachusetts, which meant we could source 100% local blooms from our incredible network of local farmers. Sustainability and seasonality are core to our floral designs, aligning perfectly with the lush greenhouse setting.

Transforming the Greenhouse Wedding Venue

To achieve the "weird & wild" aesthetic, we wrapped lush wisteria and grape vines along the structural bars of the greenhouse, turning the venue into an immersive botanical paradise. Above the reception tables, we artistically draped four distinct varieties of amaranthus, lilies, vibrant marigolds, and delicate flowering dill, creating a cascading floral ceiling that left guests speechless.

Adding a whimsical touch, we hung a vintage birdcage directly above the couple’s seating area—a playful nod to lovebirds and our affinity for nostalgic and unique treasures.
