My favorite edible flowers
Updated: Feb 3, 2021
As a floral artist and sacred space curator, I work with edible flowers A LOT! Flowers add the most gorgeous vibrancy to anything they touch. So let's get down to it...Here are my favorite edible flowers to work with.

Anise Hyssop
Bachelors Buttons
Bee Balm
Berry Blossoms
Borage
Calendula
Chamomile
Chive flowers
Clover
Elderflower
Fruit Blossoms (Apple, pear, plum, citrus, etc)
Hibiscus
Lavender
Lilac
Marshmallow
Nasturtium
Rose
Scented Geraniums
Violets
This list is not exhaustive, but they are my favorite's.
It is very important to make sure that any flowers you are using for edible consumption be organically grown or wild foraged from a land where you know there is no toxic waste or near a heavy traffic flow! Nobody wants to ingest that!
As much as they don't taste like much, edible flowers are truly a godsend! Sometimes I even put them in my water, just so I feel like a goddess!
This year I will be starting an edible flower garden plot, my little eden in Maine. Stay tuned.
